“As a practicing architect I have been designing residential to gymnasium buildings. Architecture in our society is based more on rational thinking such as function, engineering, building costs and the objectives set by the clients and the society. I believe Art complements what is lacking in Architecture. Art is non rational and more personal and at the same time it has the influential energy to broaden our view of the world.”

Architect and photographer Yamashita was born in Tokyo Japan. He earned his BArch from the Waseda University in Tokyo. His work has shown in the US and Japan.
